Hello, my name is Morgan Aghazeynali. I’m a devoted mother to three beautiful children, who are my whole world. I am reaching out for support because I need help to protect my children’s right to live in a safe, loving, and stable home with me, their mother.

Their father, currently incarcerated, has a well-known history with drugs and violence. Despite his situation, he has managed to secure legal representation for both himself and his parents, who are now trying to take my children away from me. The paternal grandparents, who once housed and supported his drug activities, have filed baseless claims questioning my fitness as a parent in an attempt to gain custody. They even went as far as to request a welfare check on my home, accusing me of neglect and abuse—claims which were proven entirely false when officers found my children healthy, happy, and well-cared for.

I’m a working mother with my own small business, using every dollar I earn to provide for my kids. I am up against two lawyers, one representing my ex-husband and one for his parents, who are filing a motion to intervene in this case. My children have court-appointed representation, which I am incredibly grateful for, but I myself cannot afford the legal assistance I need to fight this battle on my own.

The court has already granted the grandparents visitation rights. Every weekend, I am forced to leave my children with people who once enabled the very behaviors that led to their father’s imprisonment. The thought of my children being in an environment where drug deals were once conducted is deeply troubling.
