Help Morena's Family Rebuild After Fire

Hello everyone my name is Morena Lobos and I wanted to reach out to everyone and anyone that can support this fundraiser on GoFundme to help rebuild my mother, sister and great grandson’s lives after a devastating fire destroyed their house.

I want to share with you the tragic event that happened on the morning of February 18th 2025 at the house of our mother, Lidia Aquino (89 - years old) at 290 Santa Rosa Av., San Francisco

For 36 years, she created a welcoming place for everyone, family and friends, and always found a way to cook Salvadorean dishes to offer to those who visited her Or in need. Unfortunately for her, that home is gone because that February 18th a devastating fire destroyed the house as well as all her belongings and memories for years collected. Also my sister Lupita Castro and Mom’s great grandson Tyson Ampie lived with mom, lost everything.

Now my mother does not have a place “called Home” where her passion for welcoming people with her delicious cooking. Our beloved mother was just diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and it has been very difficult for her to understand her medical condition, and now with this devastating event, she is dealing with a lot of emotional distress.

Since becoming an integral part of the San Francisco community over 50 years ago, my family and our dear brother Francisco Aquino (a.k.a TWICK), a Graffiti Artist, have given in many forms with Art, Murals, and contributing to the San Francisco Local Business Communities. Our family has always given back, and now in our time of need, we ask if you can please contribute to our efforts to bring some stability back to their lives.

Due to this devastating tragedy impacting our family home, we find ourselves in desperate need of community support in rebuilding their lives. These funds will be used to rebuild and bring back stability to my mother, sister and her great-grandson, as they are currently LIVING ROUGH and in need of your support. We appreciate all donations.
