My mom was admitted into the hospital on Jan 30th, 2025, for confusion, being incoherent, weak, and stomach pain. My mom is on dialysis 3 days a week and has been for years. My stepdad and she have been strong for 18 plus years and have never asked for help. They have run so many tests on mom and still couldn’t figure out what was going on with her. On February 4th, she coded during dialysis and they had to put her on a ventilator and sedation. They removed the sedation a day later to try and wake her up, but she wasn’t coming around.

Today was a good day for her and she woke up. She is still on the ventilator and we are unsure how she will be when it’s removed, but it’s still a long road to recovery for her and whatever the next steps might be.

I know my mom has played a big part in life for a lot of my friends, my siblings' friends, and our families. She has 11 grandkids that mean the world to her.

My stepdad hasn’t been able to work because he is there every day with her, making sure she is getting the care she needs in the hospital. The hospital is a 45-minute to an hour drive both ways.

I am setting up this page to help raise money for gas, bills, and mortgage so it takes a little burden off them and they can continue to focus on healing and not have to stress so much with financial issues.

Mom has a long road but we are staying positive. I understand if you can’t help, but I would be happy with just your prayers for her to stay strong and get her through this because we need her here.
