Please Donate to help Mom and Papaw after a House Fire

UPDATE: The fire that began Sunday, reignited early this morning and took the whole house. Everything is gone. 30+ years of memories in this house. They are going to need anything and everything now. This is absolutely devastating.

Our mom, Tami and our Papaw, Buck suffered a great loss. An electrical fire, started in the walls by a faulty charger box on Papaws lift chair, has taken their home. Mom was home at the time, and by the grace of God noticed the smell and immediately called 911.

Our fire department and Sheriff’s office showed up as quickly as possible and worked nonstop in the 100+ degree heat to get the fire out, and we are so grateful that Mom and Papaw are both okay, along with their dog, Frankie and cat, Shadow. Mom was able to get our grandma’s urn, and a cedar box our Papaw built that holds all of the baby items Mom has stored for her baby (my little sister) that she lost at birth.

The damage to the home is severe. All of the electrical is damaged, the walls and ceilings are gone, and the interior is soaked from the water. Unfortunately, they did not have home insurance so rebuilding is not an option. The home already needed extensive repairs, and adding this on, makes the home unsalvageable. We are doing this fundraiser to help them get into a new home by paying deposits for utilities, deposits for rentals, and replace any of the items lost.

Our Papaw has lived in this home for over 30 years, and it’s where our Grandma lived when she passed in 2017. Leaving this home will be devastating for him, and we want to make this transition as easily as we can for him, and for Mom.
