Here is his story :

Hello friends,

My name is Mohammed and like all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, I am in a catastrophic situation. My home has been destroyed—my life, my dreams… everything has been reduced to dust.

Today, all that matters to me is being able to feed my family. That’s all I wish for. To see my family, and my loved ones eat at least one plate of rice or pasta a day, and to drink clean water. We just want to survive this nightmare.

I have never asked anyone for anything before—my dignity has always held me back. Before the war I was the one who helped the others. But today, I have no choice. The little food that is still available is far beyond what I can afford. Here are the prices of food we can still find in Gaza :

1kg pasta : 10$

1kg rice : 20$

1kg flour : 12$

1kg Tomato : 10$

1kg Onion : 45$

1L cooking oil : 30$

1kg Wood for cooking: 1.2$
