I am Mohammed Matar, caring for orphaned children and my family in Gaza. Your support provides food, shelter, medical care, and hope to live with dignity.
I am responsible not only for my own children, but also for my parents, my siblings, and my late brother’s two orphaned children. Until recently, we lived a simple and dignified life, built on work, education, and family support.
That life no longer exists. Our home was destroyed in 2008, rebuilt, and destroyed again in 2014. After the events of October 7, everything we had left was lost. Today, we live in fragile tents, exposed to extreme heat in summer and cold in winter, with no safety, no stability, and no certainty about tomorrow.
I am a medical laboratory specialist and volunteered for years in hospitals under extremely difficult conditions. Despite my qualifications and dedication, I have never been able to secure stable employment due to the ongoing reality in Gaza. The same is true for the adult members of my family—educated, capable, and willing to work, yet without opportunity.
I created this campaign to help my family meet basic humanitarian needs and protect the most vulnerable among us, especially the children. One of the most urgent cases is my sister Shaimaa’s husband, who suffers from synovial sarcoma and requires ongoing medical care that we can no longer afford.

I manage this campaign personally and take full responsibility for the ethical and needs-based use of all donations. Due to the conditions in Gaza, a trusted intermediary in the United States, Khaled Qattam, assists only with facilitating the safe transfer of funds.
All donations are used strictly for humanitarian purposes, including food, shelter, medical care, and education. Updates are shared whenever possible to reflect the real impact of your support.

About My Late Brother
During the most recent war, food shortages became severe. When small amounts of flour became available, my older brother went out trying to provide food for his children and for our family. He was killed during this attempt, leaving his children orphaned. Since then, I have carried full responsibility for caring for them and managing our family’s affairs.
About My Father
My father is in his sixties. After living through repeated wars, displacement, and loss, the weight of these years has taken a visible toll on him. What we have endured has aged him beyond his years, and today he relies on us for stability, care, and support in circumstances no parent should be forced to face.
