Who I Am:
My name is Daniel Roca Marín, a Spanish student living in Australia. I'm organizing this fundraiser to help Mohammed Abu Awad, a Palestinian civilian in Gaza, after witnessing his family's desperate struggle to survive the war through our contact on Instagram.
Who You're Helping:
Mohammed Abu Awad is a Palestinian civilian from Gaza City. Since October 7th, he has survived bombings, starvation, and the loss of his home. His family of 7 members are now homeless and starving.
The Abu Awad Family Consists Of:

- Mohammad Raed Khalil Abu Awad (age 22)
All seven family members are currently displaced and struggling to survive in Gaza.
My Relationship to Mohammed:
I connected with Mohammed through Instagram after he shared his GoFundMe link (now defunct). We've been in regular contact, and it's devastating to witness the situation Palestinians are enduring. If I can help even one family survive, it would bring some light to this darkness.
How Funds Will Be Used:
100% of donations will go directly to Mohammed's family for:
- Emergency food and clean water (inflated prices due to siege)
- Shelter supplies (tents, blankets, heating fuel, and basic hygiene kits)
- Medical care (war-related injuries/malnutrition)
- Potential evacuation costs (if borders open, including crossing fees and temporary housing)
Full evacuation (if borders open): €59,500 total for:
Rafah crossing fees (€7,000/person × 7)
Egyptian visas (€400/person × 7)
3 months housing in Cairo (€4,500)
Fund Transfer Plan:
Funds will be sent via Wise (accepted by GoFundMe)
Both Mohammed and I have verified Wise accounts for direct, traceable transfers
Transfers will be documented for full transparency
Mohammed's Story:
Mohammed is a Palestinian civilian who has survived multiple wars. After his home was bombed, he was left homeless with his family of seven. Now they sleep in a tent, starving like 90% of Gaza, eating whatever scraps they can find.
Mohammed says: "A bag of flour costs a month's wages. We're being erased - not just by bombs, but by starvation."
Your Donation Will:
