Support Reada Family of 7 in Gaza
Donation protected
Mohammad is a 13 year-old boy remaining steadfast with his family members, younger siblings (4 and 2 year-olds), mother, Haneen, father, Eyad, aunt, Rahaf, and grandmother, in Khan Younis. Before the war, Mohammad’s mother was a nurse working in the children department but the hospital she was working in has since been burned down. She also teaches her children English. Mohammad’s grandfather was martyred on October 7th transporting wounded and martyrs to the hospital as an ambulance worker. Their house was bombed twice, their family has been displaced over ten times, and they are living in a broken tent. Mohammad was enrolled in school before the war on Gaza and he wants nothing more than to continue his education. Many other members of his family and friends have been martyred since October 7th.
I am a student and childcare worker located in Wisconsin. I have been speaking with Mohammad since August 2024 and with his friend since June 2024. Mohammad is collecting money for his family to access clean water, food, soap, and a new tent, since theirs is broken and not suitable for winter. All the money raised for Mohammad is sent directly to his PayPal. His Instagram page has been taken down due to Meta suppression and he has not been able to get it back up. I am in contact with him via family members of his.
With the Rafah Border Crossing being closed in May 2024, funds will be used to support Mohammad’s family in Khan Younis. The cost of food is around $2-3k/month and a new tent is $1.2k.
Once the Rafah Crossing reopens, funds will be used to evacuate Mohammad and his family. For now, our goal is $35k, but this may change once we find out the cost of evacuation to Egypt, which previously had been $5k/child and $10k/adult. Our goal may also fluctuate based on Mohammad and his family’s survival needs and any associated costs.
Mohammad and I invite you to kindly donate any amount large or small, and to follow our updates. With your support, we can bring some peace and comfort to Mohammad’s family. You can follow me on Instagram @daniellecsb25 and I will update when Mohammad’s account is backup.
Eyad has been working as manager at Jazirah camp, which is home to 270 families. You can learn more about this initiative and donate here:
