Help Mohammad and his Family Survive Famine

Hello, my name is Abby and I am fundraising on behalf of my friend Mohammad and his family who are trapped in Gaza as America and Israel enact a genocide against them and their people.

Mohammad (28) and his wife Ghadeer (26) met in grade school and quickly become high school sweethearts. They married soon after school and Mohammad pursued a career roasting nuts to provide for his family while Ghadeer raised their two sons, Yamen (7) and Karam (5) in their beautiful home in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in north eastern Gaza City, home to the historical Ibn Marwan Mosque built in 1371 AD.

Today, both the historical mosque and Mohammad's family's home lay in ruins, destroyed by Israeli airstrikes, along with over 90% of all standing structures in Gaza.

Mohammad's family is facing extreme famine caused by Israel's total siege against the captive population in Gaza which began on March 2, 2025. Food is quickly becoming more expensive than renting a house in Gaza, despite the relative scarcity of both. There is extreme scarcity of flour, rice, even nonperishable canned foods. The family is currently living outside in a tent in northern Gaza in a refugee camp with hundreds of other displaced families. They lack not just food, but electricity, running water, and access to simple commodities like new clothing for their children. My hope is that together we can provide them with the basic necessities to survive, the most important of which is food and clean water.

Additionally, the family hopes to evacuate. No one can be sure when the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza will re-open to people, but if it reopens with the same conditions it operated under before May 6, 2024 evacuation of the family would cost $20,000. Initially, the $10,000 goal reflects their immediate need to eat, drink water, and other necessities. I will raise the goal to include the evacuation cost when appropriate.

A portion of the funds raised here will be used to pay relevant taxes, duties, and fees when transferring the money to Mohammad's family.
