“Hello everyone, I am Mourad, the father of the beautiful child Mohamed who is 6 years old. Mohamed is a smart child, and I love him dearly. Anyone who meets Mohamed will love him; he is beautiful with soft curly hair. However, circumstances have placed him in a war zone, a war that shows no mercy to children. In fact, Mohamed suffers from several illnesses, including a serious cancer. Due to the war and the attacks on health facilities, his condition has worsened. He used to receive cancer treatments funded by the state, but now there are very few medications available. At the beginning of the war, I worked for the UN in food storage, with a contract that lasted a whole year. However, when the army came to Rafah and the storage facility was in Rafah, some workers, including myself, were laid off. Now, I can only provide food supplies, but the medications are very expensive, and I cannot afford the cost of my son's treatment. After the death of my wife, the responsibility has increased.”
