My name is Kayoum Djedidi, a PhD candidate based in Montreal, Canada, and founder of a robotics startup called OORB. During our internship program, I had the honor of working with Momen Wawi, a brilliant student from Gaza, Palestine.
Momen is not just talented, he’s kind, resilient, and deeply committed to his future. Even as war destroyed his university and left his family struggling to survive, he continues to study using a damaged laptop and flashlight in a small tent.
Still, he refuses to give up.

Je m'appelle Kayoum Djedidi, doctorant à Montréal (Canada) et fondateur de la startup de robotique OORB. J'ai eu le privilège de travailler avec Momen Wawi, un jeune stagiaire talentueux originaire de Gaza.
Momen est bien plus qu’un étudiant brillant : il est humble, courageux et animé par une incroyable volonté de réussir. Même après la destruction de son université et la perte de revenus familiaux, il continue à apprendre sous une tente, à la lumière d’une lampe torche.
Et pourtant… il ne baisse pas les bras.
Je lance cette cagnotte pour lui permettre de survivre et de continuer ses études.
