Help MN Immigrant Families Pay Rent
0% complete
$12,615 raised of $10K
108 donations
For two months, immigrant families in the Twin Cities have been sheltering at home unable to safely work, unable to safely send their kiddos to school or daycare, and unable to safely shop for groceries.
Some of the immigrant families affected by this situation are people we love dearly.
My family members have (gladly!) covered food and necessities, filled childcare gaps, and provided rides in an attempt to keep our loved ones safe.
But it's not enough.
Life is expensive and rent is due.
One of these families recently shared that mom has been working 18-hour shifts at a hard-labor job while dad shelters in place (unable to safely work)...and it still isn't enough to cover rent.
Another family had not been able to purchase food for weeks before we reached out to them, much less cover other expenses. They have a newborn baby.
We know our networks can help alleviate financial stress for these kind, generous, and hardworking humans, and so we are asking for your help in sending rent aid to three families who need it.
100% of donations will be sent to immigrant families in the Twin Cities as direct mutual aid.
Please share this GoFundMe with your networks and anyone who may want to help Minnesota immigrant families get back on their feet.

Details and disclaimers:
To maintain anonymity, funds will be dispersed into my account and distributed in-person, as cash payments, to three families equal to (or exceeding) their rent payments. All families have shared their monthly rent cost with me.
We aim to cover March rent and some of April as well if we raise extra.
No exchanges are given to donors in return for donations. No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
