Almost 1 year ago to the day I suffered a medical emergency....my doctors haven't really confirmed what happened to me, but they have a pretty good idea: a problem with my pancreas would lead to my blood sugar levels going as high as 95! I got really sick and ended up in a coma ....eventually I would die and be revived twice.
I had to have a complete blood transfusion, twice....and was in intensive care for a few weeks.
I'm doing alot better, recovery was long and slow at first, but I was able to make a full recovery, recently even managing to get off all medication, including insulin shots and different pills. I'm grateful to have made a full recovery almost!
I suffered quite a bit of nerve damage to my hand and my left leg. I am recovering from that but it's alot slower than everything else has been.
Because of this, I have not been cleared to resume going back to work. And have been using my savings to pay my rent, pay my bills etc.
I am not the type to ask for help usually lol! But when I first was recovering from my incident the outpouring of support from friends, family, and even complete strangers was almost overwhelming!
Any small contribution helps, and is very much appreciated
What I learned from this is to appreciate life, and don't take things for granted: I was fine one day without a care in the world, really....and dying the next day lol
So enjoy life! Hug your loved ones
And thank you for helping
