on November 26th, 2025 at 2:15 PM, Linda Korkie and I smelled and saw smoke coming from our neighbor's upstairs bedroom. We quickly called 911 and proceeded with the evacuation of adjacent neighbors.

Mitch and Macy were both at work. When they arrived home, seven firetrucks and police vehicles were blocking access to our street.

Their cats were rescued, the entire interior of their home will need to be replaced.

Fortunately, they do have a place to stay with relatives. Unfortunately, they were forced to leave with just the clothing on their backs.
