Help Misty Dawn get started in California
Donation protected
Our Oglala Lakota friend Misty Dawn Swallow is leaving her home on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to start an ambitious new stage in her life. We are excited to support her work, and invite you to join us.
Misty is investing in her future by moving to the Bay Area to further her education, and partner with the Native Solidarity Project to bring resources back to schools on her reservation. She is excited about developing programs to empower women with healing Horse Medicine from a new home in San Francisco.
Along with serving the communities she loves, Misty is also getting important dental work done, and has already begun gig work locally. Even though she does not have a computer, Misty has landed two job interviews this week. We are impressed with her energy and drive to accomplish her goals.
Unfortunately, that is not enough to cover move-in costs for a bedroom in San Francisco. Misty is staying with friends until she can raise money for a security deposit and first month’s rent.
Please consider making a donation to help Misty get set up in her new life. Once she has raised enough money to move into her new place, Misty needs tools to advance her projects, like a laptop computer and an upgraded phone. With your help, we can help Misty's new future in California become reality faster. Please donate today.
Thank you for your consideration.
