Help Miss. Evelyn get a bed!
Hello all!
My name is Jeff and I own “the Evan bed” it’s a company focused on getting children with special needs a bed a little more comfortable for not only them but for mom and dad as the child gets older!
This month we spotlight Evelyn, and here is her story…
“Evelyn was born at 34 weeks due to complications that arose at 30 weeks of her mother's pregnancy due to severe preeclampsia. Things to the amazing hospital staff oxygen, feeding tubes, IVs, and therapy for jaundice helped her get strong and pushed through NICU. At 15 months old and multiple tests and doctors she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Evelyn is now working on using crutches, but, is still wanting to crawl or use her walker. Throughout the day she gets exhausted quickly and by the end of the day she gets muscle spasms and leg cramps. The Evan Bed would be a tremendous help to her constipation issues with adjustable base and leg cramps and muscle spasm she gets daily at rest during nap and bed time.
Evelyn currently goes to physical therapy, does horseback riding therapy through crossing bridges, and goes on adventures every chance she gets. Her mother is her full-time caregiver and gives her every opportunity possible to explore the world and everything and has to offer, helping her learn that no matter what your abilities are you can always find a way to make something happen or to do something that you want to do.”
