Several years ago, a member of our community, Miranda, lost her home and her job in the Tubbs Fire in Northern California.
 
Then her car then broke down completely.

Someone gave her a 1987 van, which she has been living in, but that has recently broken down irreparably also. 

She continues to look for work she can do, despite some health concerns. She has been a live-in caregiver for the elderly several times over the past few years.

Miranda is an honest, hardworking, deserving person who has worked hard all her life helping others. She needs help recovering from the unfortunate events of the past few years.

She is 63, does not drink or take drugs, is very health conscious and spiritually aware. She has a daily yoga practice and tries to eat healthfully.

She is happy to do pet-sitting or house-sitting in exchange for a place to live. 

She can also do light housecleaning and is a good cook. She gets $600 a month in  social security, and was supplementing her income by doing massages for seniors.

She needs a vehicle to haul her massage table and get to her clients.

We are working on raising $5,000 so she can buy a decent used car. 

Any help you can lend Miranda in this crucial time, when it’s hard to find work, is greatly appreciated.
