Help Miranda and Justin Heal and Recover

As your family grows, there are good times and not so good times. I tend to believe the not so good times help you appreciate the good ones more.

Having 4 kids, with one in heaven, there is not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for my three little ones, Miranda, Jacqueline and David. Having Father's Day this past weekend was very special to me for several reasons. My wife, kids and granddaughters mean the world to this dad. It is with a heavy and full heart I share this.

At 3:26 am on Saturday, I made a phone call to my son in law, Justin. He was in the hospital with his wife, Miranda, and their unborn child of 27 weeks, Mary Margaret. What was a grocery store trip turned into a visit to the ER.

Miranda went into surgery as she was not doing well. Sadly, the doctors discovered Mary Margaret had passed earlier in the day. 27 weeks young. Now, Miranda was having medical issues. At 4am on Saturday, she went back into surgery as her bleeding was not stopping. The next hour and a half was tough on this dad and, for Justin, I can only imagine.

At about 5:30am on Saturday, Miranda's surgery was a success and the bleeding had slowed/stopped. Over the next few days she was in the ICU; now, thank God, she is out of ICU and in recovery. Hopefully, she will be discharged later this week.

Thoughts now turn to Mary Margaret. The unborn child of 27 weeks. Miranda and Justin opted to spend time with Mary Margaret to say their hellos and goodbyes. The private moment is a special one that recognizes the addition to the family. The memory of the little one just 27 weeks young. The strength, courage, and faith Miranda and Justin have amazes me. Their faith in their marriage to continue to strengthen their family.

Through the eyes of a dad, I share how blessed I am to have Miranda, Justin and Blair with us as a testament to faith, family and marriage.

I don't normally ask for help. Today, I am asking for your help to support a family during time of sadness and loss. The funds will be used to help with medical expenses, funeral expenses, and, hopefully, some time off work to heal. Please help if you are able.

Thank you. Now, go give your family a hug.

Update: Miranda is home and doctor put her on don't do much for 3 weeks... Please pray for Justin!
