Help Minnie with school and Katie with health!

For the last two years our daughter Katie and her 3 children have been living with me and Laura. It has been an absolute joy to have them in our home, but given the circumstances it has also been a very challenging time for them.

Last year our granddaughter Minnie was able to attend preschool at Sequoia Christian School at Life Center Church. She flourished in that environment and made some wonderful friends. She has been accepted back into kindergarten. She is receiving financial aid but even with that, Katie is unable to cover the remaining costs. Laura and I have given all we can in emotional and financial support, but this is an expense we are not able to cover.

The remaining cost for the year is $3200. If you have it in your heart to give toward Minnie being able to return to a place where she loves her teachers, classmates and learning, it would be greatly appreciated.

Our second request is for our daughter Katie. A few years ago she had a severe spinal cord injury and wound up in emergency surgery. She was left with permanent damage to both her spine and legs. She has a wonderful doctor in Kansas City who has been with her for years. For medical reasons she needs to return to see him in Kansas City for more tests. Again, this is not something that either Katie or we can cover. It would be a massive blessing to her both physically and emotionally if she could make this trip soon.
