Last September I got Minka, who is objectively the best cat. In May, she was having trouble breating. After a visit to the vet, they found fluid around her lung. They removed the fluid, then after much testing, Minka was diagnosed with chylothorax - a very rare condition that requires extensive specialty surgery. Without the surgery, the fluid will continue to come back, and her prognosis would be poor.

The funds raised will go directly toward a CT scan, the surgery itself, and the post-operative care Minka will need to recover. (It's all much pricier than my current fundraiser goal.) These treatments are essential to give her the best chance at a healthy life, and I want to do everything possible to help her pull through.

About Minka: She is 3 years old, and her favorite things include: Jumping on my lap, flopping on the ground for belly rubs, looking out an open window, and sleeping.
