Help Mimi & Brendan with Stitchy's Surgery
Donation protected
We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friends, Mimi and Brendan, to ask for your support during a difficult time for their beloved dog, Stitchy. Stitchy, an 11-year-old Lurcher, is not just a pet—he’s a beloved member of their family! With his silly antics, affectionate nature, and love for adventure, he has been by Mimi and Brendan’s side through thick and thin.
Stitchy has had quite the journey—he migrated from Ireland to Chicago with Brendan and now calls Salt Lake City home, where he enjoys hiking and spending time with his cat sister, Syd. However, earlier this year, Mimi and Brendan noticed a growing lump above Stitchy’s left eye. After seeking advice from several veterinarians, they learned in February that the lump was diagnosed as a stage 1 MLO tumor.
In March, Stitchy underwent a CT scan to assess his candidacy for surgery—and fortunately, he was a good candidate! Just a week later, Stitchy bravely underwent surgery to remove the tumor and his left eye to ensure the best possible outcome. He’s now our pirate man, arg!
Stitchy is now in recovery and slowly returning to his playful, loving self. Syd has been snuggling up to him, and Mimi and Brendan are showering him with even more love than usual. However, the road to recovery has been both emotionally and financially challenging for them. Mimi is also working hard to complete her PhD, so the added stress of medical bills has been overwhelming.
We are asking for your help to ease their burden during this tough time. Any contribution you can make will go directly toward covering the expenses for Stitchy’s surgery and treatment. Your generosity will not only help Stitch heal but also allow Mimi and Brendan to focus on what truly matters—Stitchy’s recovery and their family’s well-being.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support!
