Help Us Bring Chelsey & Joe Home
Chelsey and Joe are a hardworking couple with deep roots in service. Joe is retiring from the United States Air Force in June 2025, after honorably serving for over 20 years—including the last 8 years stationed overseas in England. Their dream has been to return home to Nampa, Idaho, settle down near family, and finally enjoy the peace and stability they’ve worked so hard for.
But instead of retirement plans, they’re facing a construction nightmare.
Shortly after purchasing their home, they were told by their insurance company that major repairs were required—or they would lose coverage. Wanting to do the right thing and create a safe space, they secured a $200,000 loan to update and improve their home.
But then disaster struck.
The contractor they hired gutted the house, put on a roof, and framed an extension—but then stopped. They stopped showing up. They stopped communicating. And eventually, they admitted they had no money left and would not be finishing the job. After paying $160,000, Chelsey and Joe were left with less than $80,000 worth of actual work completed.
Worse yet, they weren’t the only ones—this contractor had multiple lawsuits filed against them for the same deceitful behavior.
Thankfully, in the years since, a kind-hearted contractor has stepped in to help. Volunteers and professionals have rallied around the family, donating time and talent to move the project forward. The plumbing, HVAC, electrical, framing, and insulation have all passed inspection—but there’s still a long way to go.
Now, with Joe’s retirement just around the corner, they’re living with family while they try to finish the project. They need an estimated $80,000–$100,000 to finally bring this dream home to life.
This is where we come in. Let’s help this military family recover what was taken from them—and give them the peaceful homecoming they deserve.
