Help Miles go to Madagascar!
Donation protected
We have some very amazing news to share!
Miles has been chosen and will be participating in an internship with SEED Madagascar this July for 4 weeks!!
Miles, who just finished his freshman year, at Otterbein University is studying Zoology and Animal Conservation Science. Fun fact: Jack Hannah was an Otterbein graduate!
For 20 years SEED Madagascar has worked with the local communities in the littoral forests of Sainte Luce (south-east Madagascar), studying and protecting the incredible biodiversity. For more information on the incredible work of SEED Madagascar go to: https://madagascar.co.uk
While working alongside their research team, volunteers directly contribute to projects across their whole conservation research programme. Miles will gain hands-on research and data collection skills, while being immersed in the flora and fauna of south-east Madagascar and working with and aiding in the sustainability and successes of the local communities.
The Sainte Luce Littoral Forest in Madagascar contains many threatened and endangered endemic species that live no where else on earth. Miles will be studying species including lemurs, frogs, chameleons, tortoises, lizards, birds, palms, baobabs, succulents, orchids and more alongside an expert research team and the local community.
Otterbein University encourages their students to study abroad- especially in the Zoology and Conservation Science major. The university is providing some funding in support of his trip, for which we are thankful.
We are also reaching out to friends and family for any support - if you are so inclined - to help Miles make this dream of a lifetime come true! Your donation will go towards travel expenses and supplies. If you have any questions or prefer a different donation method, please reach out!
Thank you so much for your consideration. If unable to help monetarily- if you can send your positive vibes for a safe and successful experience - those are appreciated just as much!!
