Hello friends,

It's been a tough week and continues to feel overwhelming.

My aunt and uncle, Miles and Mo, have been devoted members of the Gorge community for many years. Miles grew up in Odell and once owned Milestone Nursery in Lyle, where he grew native plants to support local habitat restoration. Anyone who knows them can attest to their humble, self-reliant, and creative spirits.

Recently, they had been preparing to sell their home on Major Creek Road (off Highway 8), recognizing that it no longer meets their needs as they age and live on a limited income. In the process of moving, they had stored most of their belongings in their pole barn, which, devastatingly, burned to the ground.

The timing of this tragedy is especially difficult, compounding the stress of transition and their urgent need for support and stability right now. Any and all support for them is so so appreciated!!!
