THE STORY BEHIND MILE HIGH SOBER FLY MINDFUL ACTIVITY ROOTED IN SOBRIETY

Mile High Sober Fly began with a simple yet powerful idea: to blend the journey of recovery with the therapeutic art of fly fishing and fly tying. As someone who has personally experienced the challenges of overcoming addiction, I found solace, focus, and healing in the rhythm of the water and the creativity of tying flies. These mindful activities became more than just hobbies—they became lifelines, offering peace and purpose during the most difficult times.

Driven by this transformative experience, I founded Mile High Sober Fly to share these benefits with others navigating their own recovery journeys. Our mission is to provide individuals in treatment with meaningful, hands-on activities that inspire mindfulness, build resilience, and foster connection to nature. Whether it’s tying a fly in our studio or casting a line into Colorado’s pristine rivers, we believe these simple yet powerful practices can open the door to healing and renewal.

At Mile High Sober Fly, we’re not just about fishing—we’re about creating opportunities for growth, recovery, and community. Every fly tied and every trip to the water represents a step toward hope and a brighter future. We’re here to walk that path with you, one fly at a time.
