Our family is heartbroken to share that my daughter’s beloved Grammy, Kim, has passed away. Grammy Kim was more than a grandmother; she was a bright, curious, loving presence who poured her whole heart into the people she loved. She had a way of making every moment feel special, especially for Mila. Mila refused to eat my scrambled eggs because “they weren’t as good as Grammy’s,” and honestly, she wasn’t wrong.

Mila is devastated, and her father, Kim’s son Jeremy, is now facing the painful task of saying goodbye to his mother while struggling to afford the cost of her cremation. Jeremy had to work less shifts at his job in order to help take care of his mom as her health declined. Now, during a time that should be about grieving, remembering, and honoring Kim’s life, financial stress is making everything even harder.
