Tatiyona Benally and Wakahto Clauschee are the parents of Mila Elaina Clauschee

Mila was born 34 weeks early on May 29,2021 in Tulsa,OK. She was diagnosed with what is know as VACTERL Association. It is not genetic, it is not a syndrome, and it is not a disease. It’s basically a group of conditions that happen together, effecting the Vertebral, Anal, Cardiac, TraceoEsophageal, Renal, and Limb abnormalities.

What Mila’s diagnoses means is that she was born with a VSD, a cleft palate that made it difficult for her to latch properly along with anal atresia, a defect where the opening of the anus is blocked. She was immediately rushed to the operating room where doctors performed a corrective surgery of an ostomy. She has Vesicovaginal fistula, an opening between the vagina and urinary bladder which caused her urine and stool to pass through the vagina. Mila has also been diagnosed with spinal defects which she has a spinal teathered cord, though we’ve been told they can range from defects in the bones that can affect her throughout her life. She has multiple air way anomalies, that required her to be on oxygen.

Doctors are saying she needs a heart surgery. We decided to make a gofundme because we got relocated to OKC for the surgery. Currently missing work to support her and be by her side. Anything and everything helps pay for hotel and expenses for us and her 3 brothers, thank you and have a great day
