Hi everyone! As many of you know, Mikey & Kaitlyn have been going through an incredibly stressful and emotional time. Last Sunday, Kaitlyn had to be airlifted to Portland to OHSU due to severe pregnancy complications, and she has remained there ever since. Unfortunately, she is unable to leave the Portland area at this time.
A couple of months ago, during her 20-week scan, doctors discovered two very serious pregnancy complications: Complete Placenta Previa and Placenta Accreta Spectrum. Both of these conditions are life-threatening and require very close monitoring and specialized care. She may require multiple transfusions and multiple surgeons at the C section; one of which will be a urollogy surgeon.
Last week, Kaitlyn began bleeding unexpectedly, which led to the emergency airlift to Portland. Mikey and the kids traveled up to be with her and are currently staying in temporary housing near OHSU for a few days. Housing is currently uncertain as far as whether it will continue to be paid for or not. Doctors expect them to remain in Portland for at least 2–3 more weeks.
Their baby boy is scheduled to be delivered by cesarean section on the 21st, and because he will be born early, they will possibly need to stay in Portland even longer while he receives the care he needs. Kaitlyn is currently unable to return home and must stay close to the hospital until delivery.
As you can imagine, this has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on their family. We are trying to raise funds to help with gas, food, and other daily necessities during this difficult time.
If you feel led to donate, it would be such a blessing to their family. We completely understand that times are hard for many right now, and if you are unable to give, we simply ask that you keep Mikey, Kaitlyn, the baby, and their family in your prayers.
Thank you all so much for your love, support, and prayers. ❤️
