Help Mikey Fight Colon Cancer

 

Hello, my name is Carolina and I am helping my brother in law, Miguel “Mikey” Delgado Franco in his battle with colon cancer. In 2016, Mikey and my sister Sandra survived a devastating earthquake that hit their hometown back in Ecuador. They lost their business and soon after that, they decided to come to America to start a new life. When he arrived, he was so happy and determined to achieve the American dream. He learned English, found a great job at a local hospital, and planned to become a US citizen.

 

Everything was going well until one day in October of last year. While working at the hospital, he became very sick. He soon found out that he had 3rd stage colon cancer. Mikey once again had to face a painful and frightening situation that changed his life forever. He had to go through radiation, chemotherapy, and most recently, colon surgery. He also lost his job, sadly. He now has no other means to provide for his living and medical expenses that are not covered by the insurance.

 

So now, eight months after this medical and economic ordeal, he was told that he needed to start a second and more aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Mikey has always been a resilient, hardworking, diligent, and very generous human being. He was always willing to lend a hand to whoever needed it. Please help me lend a hand to Mikey to beat cancer and fight for his life.
