Family of 9 homeless in NC- after CL home scam. 7kids

My name is Miguel. My family and I are from Pennsylvania. We ( my wife and 7 children )found a house on Craigslist in South Carolina and decided after a few weeks to make the move in Nov. We wanted a better life, as we was struggling in Pa already. And wanted more affordable housing, and year round work for me. We found a house on CL in Kingstree sc and drove down to meet the owner. We met him at his office in Columbia SC and gave him 2200. Deposit, first and last months rent . We then drove 3 hours to the house. When we pulled up to the house. You could tell it was unfit for human habitat. After inspecting it and walking through. I called him back. And wanted my money back. I told him the photos on the ad was from many years years ago and the house is not move in ready. He insisted that I still live in it and fix it, with a reduced rent payments. I declined as I have 7 kids and a wife. He refused to return our money. We contacted Williamsburg county sheriff and they said it was civil and that I would have to take him to court. Forcing us to seek shelter at a hotel. We stood there 5 nights and decided to drive up to NC hoping I can land work to recoup some of the money lost. I went to inquire about a claim to get my money back, I was told it will cost me 180 to file and the wait for court is 30-45 days. I needed the money or a place to live right then and there. So we left . I’m currently staying at a hotel in Charlotte NC paying a weekly rate. Doing small jobs, doing my best to provide for my family and keep them safe under a roof. I’m exhausted and I don’t have any family I can go to for help. So I’m asking you! I’m willing to work. I have construction and home remodeling skills. I own my truck and tools and I’m ready for any work that can come my way. If you have work to offer I will gladly take it. And provide quality work. Listen! I’ve called every construction company in Charlotte . I’ve called churches, shelters and other related places trying to seek help, funds and resources. I’m not lazy, I’m not unable to work. I can and will. This decision I made trying to do better with my family may have been a bad one and it cost us a home and money. The money is to rent a house, and to get some furniture, beds, washer dryer, couch, and stuff like that. Things that we left behind on the property that we was suppose to rent, because trailer was scheduled for return and we didn’t want to keep hauling it. So we kept what we could. I’ll pay the rent for months in advance if I can so I can catch up, and maintain it by working, taking all small jobs, any work that comes my way. So please any thing is appreciated. Thank you
