Help Micro-Preemie baby Matityah and his family

Donation protected
Our wonderful and amazing friend and co-worker, Ali, who is also an loving wife to Enoch and mom to Faith, was so excited to learn that she was pregnant with her 2nd child back in the fall.

Ali's 1st pregnancy, when she had Faith was almost perfect, despite the fact that Faith was born at 10lbs! But it was a smooth and easy pregnancy so Ali had no reason to think that her 2nd pregnancy would be any different.

But her 2nd pregnancy did not go so smoothly and on March 12th, Ali was experiencing intense lower back pain. So intense that she could hardly walk and went to the ER at Manatee Memorial. They admitted her right away and through tests, determined that the baby was not doing well.

Ali was flown by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital that night and she had an emergency c-section the next day.

So, Matityah was born at 26 weeks at 1lb and 2oz. Mom and baby did well during the birth. He is a miracle baby! The prognosis for Matityah is really good and he is a fighter! However, he will spend the next several months at the NICU in Tampa General until he is big enough and strong enough to go home.

Matityah has a long road and tough battle before him.  Ali, Enoch and Faith's home in Bradenton is about an hour away from Tampa General so they are staying close to baby Matityah at the Ronald McDonald House. They can visit with him daily to give him the love and support that he will need to get healthy and stronger.

We (her friends and co-workers) have started this GoFundMe to help cover any costs that they will incur. While Ali had planned (and saved) to be out of work for 6 weeks, she did not plan to be out for 4 months or longer. Ali is one of our bestest friends and she is already an incredible mother. Any donation will be able to help her and her little family get through this incredibly tough time by taking something off their plate -  if you can give a dollar or five or ten, or more, that would be great! Every little bit will help them and alleviate just some of the stress that they feeling right now, so that they can concentrate all their energy on their beautiful baby boy.

Thank you everyone for your prayers, blessings, or donations for Ali, Enoch, Faith and Matityah.  We know she truly appreciates it. And so do we!
