Help Michelle Smith's Family During Son Carter's Surgery

Hello. Our Itron co-worker and friend, Michelle Smith, needs our help.

Michelle's son, Carter, at age 20, has been diagnosed with an AVM (Arteriovenous malformations with active aneurysm). Michelle and her family will be traveling to Seattle on July 6 with many pre-op appointments starting July 7. Carter will have an angiogram (brain mapping) procedure on July 10 and brain surgery on July 14. Michelle and her family, including her dog Burton, will be living in Seattle for at least 3-4 weeks.

On May 7th Carter suffered a brain hemorrhage that he thought was a migraine and has been under medical since he suffered a stroke on May 9th and was admitted into ICU Carter has not been able to work since May 7, and Michelle and her husband are supporting him financially.

I am hopeful our Itron team can collect funds to help with their lodging and living expenses in Seattle. I will also submit a request for an IEEF Matching Grant https://www.ieef.net/matching-grant.
