As some of you know, we have come to know quite a remarkable family during our time here in Spokane. We met them through our girls learning Jiu Jitsu together, and have become quite fond of all three of them!

Michelle, the mama of two unbelievably special kids, Michael and Bella, has found herself in an intense battle with cancer - she is considered stage four, with it now also in her bones and brain.

She is doing everything in her power to give her kids a strong and stable home life while fighting a horrendous illness. With all of the chemotherapy treatments, she has been unable to work since January, as she was a nurse and the treatments weakened her immune system and also her body.

She has faced this challenge, with the same courage, strength, tenacity, grace and endurance that both of her kids have deep within them. The three of them are truly a force to be reckoned with.

Michelle has already done so much of it all on her own, we just want to try to let her rest more and enjoy time with her kids instead of trying to manage all life seems to keep pushing at her.

She has learned already her tribe is much bigger than she realized, my hope is that it is even bigger.
