Michelle recently lost her beloved father to metastatic cancer 6 weeks ago. She was his primary caregiver, and his hospice journey was carried out in Michelle’s home with her by his side. Despite her unbreakable spirit, the costs of metastatic breast cancer—chemotherapy, targeted therapies, travel for specialized care, and everyday expenses—are daunting.

Adding to this burden, Michelle’s 30 years of bedside nursing have taken a physical toll, leading to two spinal surgeries and a shoulder surgery in the past 18 months. She was just regaining her strength when this diagnosis struck. These surgeries, borne with dignity and grace as scars of her honorable career, have already strained her family’s finances.
