Help Michelle during Craniotomy Recovery
Donation protected
Michelle was having progressively intense migraines, tunnel vision and dizziness which led to her having an MRI recently because the pressure in her head became unbearable . The MRI showed a colloid cyst and thankfully not cancer or a mass but it was large & located in the direct center of the brain blocking fluid flow. Unfortunately, she needed an emergency surgery last week with a drain placed to relieve the pressure (not even under anesthesia due to the circumstances!) followed by a 6 hour craniotomy/brain surgery to remove the cyst Monday. The stress was horrible for us but especially Michelle. She is recovering wonderfully at Strong currently with their amazing neuro team but will have a long road to recovery. She will not be able to work for at least 3 months and has two young boys. Her sons are ages 2 and 5 and will need to be distracted all summer with summer camps, activities and transportation with help from Ryan, family and friends. Anything helps and will go to her recovery & care for her boys.. and maybe a nice wig!
