I hope everybody’s doing well. I never thought I would see myself making a post or a page of this nature. With all this being said, my name is Michael Gray. I’m 23 years old. Late last Wednesday night, I was struck by a car while working. I do a door-to-door service, and while I was out doing what I’ve been doing for the past three years, I ended up getting struck by a car and flown 20 feet away. It ended up slitting my arm open. With that being said, I lost a lot of the functions in my left hand moving forward. I also broke three ribs as well and with that being said, I won’t be able to close my hand anymore or use my last two fingers on my left hand. Besides that, I have a beautiful baby girl on the way that I was honestly terrified I wouldn’t make it home to on that Wednesday night when the truck hit me going 55 miles an hour. I truly thought my life was over, and the only thing keeping me attached to the world was knowing that I had a beautiful wife and a beautiful baby girl on the way. With me saying all of this without taking too much of anybody’s time, I’ve never been the person to ask for support or help. A lot of times, I’m told I have too much ego and too much pride. But if anybody has anything that could help, it would be greatly appreciated. My job is gonna be taking care of me for the most part in terms of making sure my bills and stuff are paid, but the fact that I can’t work is now gonna put a halt to the money that I could be bringing in for my baby girl as well as for any potential bills this might cause me to have. Quite honestly, I just got out of surgery, and I don’t even know too much of what all of this is gonna cause for me. My left leg is hard to stand on, my left arm is not all too much usable anymore, and I won’t be able to do anything for the next six weeks. I would greatly appreciate any help from any individuals. All of this happened in Middleberry roughly around 7:20 PM Wednesday night while I was training one of the new guys in the business.
