Help Michael at Library get his car on the road

Hi, my name is Tanya who lives locally to the Grange library & I am

supporting Michael who has been homeless for 3 years & living rough. For the last 18 months he has had a base at Grange Library (Brisbane) . He has a Hyundai 2006 Getz that he has been unable to register due to work required - a new battery, at least two new tyres & a road worthy which may reveal further issues.

Michael is a reserved & quiet man who has been trying to sort his situation on his own. He has recently started to accept help from a few people in the community & Footprints / Micah / Third space. Just this week, Michael found out he can move to a place in Hendra through Footprints support.

Although Michael had not been paying rent, cost of living when homeless if very difficult as everything is a challenge.

The library and Council have been very generous to allow Michael’s car to stay there, however when he moves (likely) next week, he will have to move his car asap.

However , he does not have the funds to get it fixed on his own.

Any donation will help. First priority is getting a battery so his car can be moved to the mechanic.
