Help Michael and His Family Through an Uncertain Time

Friday 25th of September, our mate Michael and his family had their lives turned completely upside down when Michael suffered a serious brain bleed.

The bleed has affected his vision and speech, and doctors are still working to understand what caused it and what his recovery will look like. Right now, there are more questions than answers, and the possibility of further complications remains.

For Michael, his wife Becca and their two young children, life has suddenly become incredibly uncertain.

Anyone who knows Michael knows he is usually the bloke helping everyone else. He works as an arborist and is happiest keeping busy, getting his hands dirty, fixing things, fishing, riding his motorbike, playing pool and having a laugh with his mates. If something is broken, stuck, leaking or making a strange noise, Michael is usually the person you call.

Right now, Michael is the one who needs our help.

With Michael unable to work and Becca needing to be there for him, attend appointments and care for their children, the family is facing a sudden loss of income. They have recently taken on a new mortgage, along with all the everyday costs of raising a family, and there may also be significant medical, rehabilitation and travel expenses ahead.

At this stage, nobody knows how long Michael’s recovery will take or when he may be able to return to work.

We can’t change what has happened, but we can help take some of the financial pressure off Michael and Becca while they focus on what matters most — Michael’s recovery and their family.
