Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out as a proud and grateful mom, asking for your support for something that means the world to both my son and me. This summer, he has the incredible opportunity once again to perform in DCI (Drum Corps International) — an elite and life-changing marching band experience that he has worked so hard to be a part of. It’s more than just a summer activity — it’s his passion, his purpose, and a source of pride for our entire family.
We’re hoping to raise $2,000 to help cover the costs of tuition, travel, gas, and hotel expenses so that he can continue this journey — and so that I can be there to support him every step of the way, just like last year.
As his mom, I can’t express how much joy it brings me to see him out there — performing under the lights, giving it everything he has, growing into the kind, driven, and talented young man he is. Watching him march and perform helps me hold onto hope during a time that has otherwise been incredibly difficult.
Due to ongoing medical and health issues, our family is struggling financially. The support Micaiah has always had from close loved ones — myself included — has been deeply impacted by declining health. It’s been an immensely difficult year emotionally, physically, and financially. And yet, seeing Micaiah thrive on the field gives me something to hold on to — something bright in the midst of everything else.
Like last year, the DCI Championships take place this August in Indianapolis, Indiana, and it’s our dream to get him there again — and for me to be there cheering him on from the stands. Your support will directly go toward his tuition, travel, and family lodging expenses that we simply cannot cover alone this year.
If you’re able to give anything — even just a few dollars — it would mean the world to us. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting not just a dream, but a moment in life that means everything to a mother and her son. Thank you for helping a young man continue his dream, and for giving his mom the chance to witness it all.
With love and gratitude,
Charity & Family
