Support the Metz Family - Hurricane Helene Home Destruction

Donation protected
It's been one year since Hurricane Idalia flooded Shore Acres (St. Petersberg, FL) and my sister's family (Seth and Leslie Metz) had to rip apart and rebuild their home.

One year later, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, our family once again has been severely affected by Hurricane Helene as the water level reached over 4 feet (yes, you read that correctly) INSIDE their home. The bulk of their furniture, appliances, electronics, clothing and belongings have been destroyed and their home will once again be pulled apart for renovation following the storm surge and flooding.

The pictures included here do not really do justice to the overall destruction. They are starting the process now of gutting the house, working with the insurance and supporting resources to start the clean up and rebuild process. They will be displaced for several months ahead.

We are so thankful for friends and family who have repeatedly asked how they can help. This will be another tough process to go through financially with all the extra costs including rent for temporary housing, appliance replacement, home repairs and time off work, etc.

We know we'll get through this as we've done it before but any little bit of help would be greatly appreciated. Any funds raised through Go Fund Me will go directly to their rent and home repairs. Thank you all so much!
