Hi, my name is Mercy Akowe, and I am representing Greenbelt, Maryland at the National American Miss Nationals 2025 in Orlando, Florida.

As the eldest daughter, I’ve always carried the responsibility of setting an example. That journey inspired me to create Big Sis, a platform that supports eldest daughters and introverts by providing safe spaces for growth and self-care. My dream is to expand Big Sis into community events that empower girls to know they are more than their responsibilities — they are leaders, dreamers, and changemakers.
