Hello kind friends,
My name is Taghreed, I’m a 44-year-old mother from Gaza. After 14 long and painful years of struggling with infertility and many failed attempts at IVF, my husband and I were finally blessed with a beautiful daughter—Mena. She is our only child, our miracle.
Mena is now 13 years old. Since birth, she has suffered from a condition caused by cerebral palsy that affects her right leg, making it difficult for her to walk. She has undergone multiple surgeries to lengthen the tendons in her leg, but sadly, none of them have worked. She still cannot walk like other children her age.
Mena needs new surgeries and intensive therapy in order to have a real chance at walking normally. But now, we are facing an even greater crisis.
During the war on Gaza, we lost everything—our home, our source of income, and our ability to provide even the most basic care for Mena. We can no longer afford her treatment or meet our family’s daily needs.
This campaign has three urgent goals:
- Fund Mena’s next surgery and physical therapy so she can finally walk on her own.
- Help us afford basic necessities like food, medicine, and daily care for our daughter.
- Find a safe place to live, after our home was destroyed in the war.
We are reaching out with open hearts, asking for your compassion and support. Please help our daughter Mena get the medical care she urgently needs. Help her take her first real steps. Help us rebuild what we’ve lost.
With deep gratitude,
Taghreed – a mother who just wants to see her daughter walk
