My name is Melissa, and I’m dedicated to helping rebuild Swannanoa after Hurricane Helene. I work with a local church that’s part of a countrywide organization, focusing on restoring homes and hope for families who have lost so much. I completed my first week there May 19-23rd. I plan to return one week a month until the rebuilding isn’t needed anymore .My truck is essential for towing my enclosed trailer, which holds all the tools and supplies needed for this mission work. Without it, I can’t transport the equipment required for these critical repairs, and every day my truck is down means delays for families waiting for help.
Beyond my mission work, my truck is also how I support my family. I have four children, three daughters and a son, as well as a grandbaby who all depend on me. I run my own company providing repairs and remodeling for customers, including bathroom remodels, tile work, painting, sheetrock, flooring, and trim. My truck allows me to get to job sites and bring the tools and materials needed to complete these projects. When my truck’s fuel pump exploded, it left me unable to work or earn income, making it urgent to get back on the road so I can continue supporting my family and the community.
I’m asking for help to cover the cost of replacing the entire fuel system so I can resume both my mission work and my business. Your support will directly impact my ability to serve others and provide for my family during this challenging time.
