Dear family, friends, and community,

Melanie here, or as so many in the community may know me as Ms. Melanie. I’m a single mom of three amazing kids; ages 12, 14, and 17. They mean the world to me—the reason I keep pushing forward no matter how hard things get. Right now, though, we’re facing something so incredibly difficult: homelessness.

We are without a stable place to live. I’m doing everything I can to keep life normal for my children—working, applying for assistance, reaching out to local programs, and searching for affordable housing—but the reality is that it isn’t enough to get us through this urgent moment and right now, we’re running out of options and time. I’m not asking for help lightly. I’ve always tried to provide for my kids on my own, but now we’re at a point where I can’t do it alone. We need a safe place to stay and the stability every child deserves.

We need help to cover essentials like:

• A safe place to stay while we find stable housing

• Moving costs and deposits

• And other expenses

My kids are strong, resilient, and full of love. They deserve to go to bed at night feeling safe, not worried about where we’ll be tomorrow. As their mom, all I want is to give them that security again.
