Melle and John are two of the warmest, most welcoming people I know. Melle works at the local drug store in Commerce, always greeting everyone with a smile and a kind word. She works hard, loves her cats dearly, and finds joy in tending to her garden. Their kindness and generosity have touched many in our community.

This morning, tragedy struck when their house caught fire with John and their beloved cats inside. Thankfully, they were rescued, but both had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. The fire caused significant damage, and it’s likely that Melle and John lost most of their belongings, including many things that made their house a home.
