A Cambridge private hire driver was the victim of a serious knife attack while working. He is now traumatised, unable to work, and struggling to support his young family. As private hire drivers, we are self-employed — if we cannot work, we do not earn.

The driver is facing severe financial pressure during his recovery, and the current support systems are slow and limited. Until he is medically fit to return to work, he urgently needs help covering basic living costs for his family.

As members of the Cambridge Taxi Drivers Association, we stand together in difficult moments. I am organising this fundraiser to ensure he is not left alone during this traumatic time.

Any contribution — large or small — will make a genuine difference to his family’s immediate wellbeing while he recovers.
