My name is Mackenzie, and I’m creating this secret GoFundMe for my dear friend, Megan Pintus.

Megan traveled to California over the holidays with her boyfriend, James, to spend time with family and friends. After a couple of nights in South Lake Tahoe, they headed to Fresno to celebrate Christmas with James’s family. Tragically, on Christmas Eve (December 24th, 2025), someone broke into Megan’s car, smashing her window and stealing her most treasured possession—her custom Taylor guitar, including every other valuable item in the car.

This wasn’t just an instrument. It was a deeply personal, one-of-a-kind guitar that Megan poured years of love, music, and memories into. If you’ve ever had the privilege of hearing Megan sing or play, chances are you’ve heard this guitar. It has been by her side through countless songs, moments, and milestones, and its loss has hit her hard.

Megan is one of the most generous, selfless, and inspiring people I know. She brings people together through music, shares her talent freely, and creates spaces where everyone feels welcome. Music isn’t just something she does, it’s part of who she is.

My hope is that, as a community, we can come together to create a little late Christmas magic by helping Megan replace what was taken from her. Any contribution—big or small—will go directly toward replacing her custom guitar and helping her continue to create and share the music she loves.
