Megan, a devoted single mom of two boys under 7, is facing an unimaginable crisis. Last year, a fire broke out in her home, turning their lives upside down. Thankfully, they were unharmed, but the damage was extensive. Megan received insurance money and used it to hire a contractor to repair the damage, but the contractor failed to pull the proper permits and left the home in a dangerous condition. Everything had to be ripped out, and the reconstruction process had to start over, costing her valuable time, emotional energy, and financial stability.

Megan is now living in a temporary rental with her boys, out thousands of dollars paid to the previous contractor, and facing extensive reconstruction and legal fees. Insurance will not cover the damage done by the contractor.

Despite these challenges, Megan has shown unbelievable strength and resilience, trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for her children by replacing toys and clothes, working, and taking them to school.
