Help Megan Fix Her Sewer and keep her home

Donation protected
My sister Megan bought a house on her own years ago. I was quite proud of her ability to buy and improve a house all on her own single income. She not only bought it but converted the garage to an apartment that, when rented, did pay a good portion of her mortgage.

Fast forward 10 years or so, and she experienced health problems that lead to the loss of her ability to work full time, complete the nurse practitioner program she worked hard for, and increased student loans. All of this would have been manageable, but her sewer line broke right in the middle of COVID and her health issues meaning she has been unable to live in the home or rent it since 2020.

I thought she would lose the home, but somehow she's managed to refinance it and hopes to keep it and is current on the mortgage. Things are improving quickly for her now. Her health is much improved, and she has been employed full time again since November 2023 as a registered nurse at a non profit community health center.

I'm asking you all to consider helping her to fix her sewer. She's found a tenant that wants to rent her home, she's invested time and money to fix up the both the house and the rental unit, and is in the process of replacing multiple appliances that failed. She hopes to move back in next month.

Can you appreciate the benefits of a good sewer line? You can’t flush or shower or rent without one. Can you help her to make it the final stretch?

Thank you for your consideration and help!
