Help Megan, Ed & Baby Malia Through Their Toughest Time

Our beloved cousin Megan and her partner Ed are living every parent’s worst nightmare. Their beautiful baby girl, Malia, was born on March 17th this year with a life-threatening illness. Since the day she was born, she has remained in the ICU at the Royal Children’s Hospital, unable to come home.

The incredible medical team at RCH is working tirelessly to find the best possible treatment plan to give Malia a chance at a healthy life with her family. But finding the right path is taking time, and every day brings new emotional and financial challenges.

Megan and Ed travel daily from their home in Truganina to be by Malia’s side. The emotional toll has been overwhelming, and the financial strain is growing — from fuel and tolls to meals and everyday costs — all while they stay strong for their daughter.

Many of Megan’s friends and loved ones have reached out to her mum and brothers, asking how they can help. Sadly, because of the risk of infections, visitors and food drop-offs aren’t possible right now.

That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe — to help ease the daily burdens they’re facing. Donations will go towards essentials like food (yes, including Uber Eats!), transport, and anything that can support their wellbeing during this incredibly difficult time.

While Megan and Ed are naturally hesitant to accept help, we’re not giving them a choice — because we know they need it now more than ever.
